NRNA Steering Committee Concludes Second Meeting, Sets Date for 12th International General Convention

The Steering Committee, formed after the grand unification of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), is accelerating its work. In this connection, the committee organized its second meeting on Sunday, December 14, 2025 (Mangsir 28, 2082 B.S.).

During the meeting, the date for the association's 12th International General Convention was finalized, along with intensive discussions on various contemporary issues. The meeting reached the following decisions:

Decisions:

NCC Unity Facilitation Committee Formation: A five-member committee is to be formed at the center for National Coordination Committees (NCC) Unity Facilitation, under the convenorship of Gangadhar Gautam, as follows:

a) Convener: Gangadhar Gautam
b) Co-Convener: Tika Gurung (Radhika)
c) Member: Narayan Kafle
d) Member: Shani Oli
e) Member: Chiranjibi Khadka

12th International General Convention Date: The NRNA's 12th Grand International General Convention and Election will be held on February 23, 24, and 25, 2026.

Regional Interaction and Dialogue Programs on Grand Unification: Regional programs are to be conducted as follows:

a) December 19: Middle East and Africa Region
b) December 20: Asia Pacific and Oceania Region
c) December 21: Americas and Europe Region

Membership Committee Expansion: The five-member membership committee will be expanded by adding two members, making it a 7-member body.

Commitment Letter Mandate: As per the provision requiring all Steering Committee members to sign a commitment letter, all members must sign it by the next Steering Committee meeting. Members who fail to sign will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming meeting.

Finally, the meeting called upon all concerned parties of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, National Coordination Councils, and the entire Non-Resident Nepali community scattered across the world to provide responsible and active cooperation from their respective places to make the association's 12th International General Convention an historic success.

The meeting also urged that necessary preparations, coordination, and implementation tasks to ensure the successful hosting of the General Convention be started immediately.
