Seminar Concluded with the Slogan: "No Health Without Mental Health"!

A one-day seminar and public awareness program for the promotion of mental health, titled and themed "No Health Without Mental Health," was successfully organized by Kidzee Sanepa.

Mental health problems affect not only the mind but also the body and social well-being. The presence of mental health issues increases the risk of chronic physical diseases such as diabetes and heart-related illnesses, reduces life expectancy, and creates a greater financial burden.

Addressing these various issues and based on recent global research, the program's main speaker, Psychotherapist and Director of the Nepal Academy of Psychology, Umanga Jung Parakram Shah, presented his seminar paper titled "No Health Without Mental Health: A Comprehensive Understanding of Mental, Physical, and Psychosocial Well-being."

He also provided psychological counseling support to those who wished to share their problems directly during the event.

The program, which addressed diverse mental health-related issues, was conducted with the cordial presence of principals, teachers, and guardians from various schools.

The event was honored by the special guest presence of Ms. Rita Ghimire Timilsina, Central Vice President of OPEN (Organisation of Pre-Primary and Early Childhood Schools), and was also attended by Senior Psychologist and Autism Specialist, Ms. Bhagawati Bhattarai.

During the program, parents actively participated and exchanged their feelings. The opportunity to collectively unburden their minds made the atmosphere of the event highly emotional and supportive.

In the same session, Ms. Muna Shrestha, Founder of Kidzee Preschool and a Counselor, shared her own experiences, clarifying the interconnectedness between mental and physical health, and urged everyone to spread awareness on the subject.

The program was successfully concluded with the deep and active participation of all attendees, and it is believed that this event will send a positive message regarding mental health. The program was held on Kartik 28 at Kidzee Preschool in Sanepa, Lalitpur.
