Nepal Medical Association Election Begins
Kathmandu. The election process for the new leadership of the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has started today. According to the Election Committee, voting is taking place today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday, outside the Valley to select the 19-member Central Executive Committee of the Association. Within the Kathmandu Valley, voting will take place on Baishakh 17 and 18.
The polling will be conducted from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Three panels led by Dr. Badri Rijal, Dr. Mangal Rawal, and Dr. Narayan Bhushal are competing in the election. A total of 55 candidates from the three groups are participating in the election. Outside the Valley, voting is underway in locations including Biratnagar, Dharan, Rajbiraj, Lahan, Janakpur, Birgunj, Chitwan, Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Surkhet, Dang, Jumla, Palpa, Hetauda, Tanahun, Rautahat, and Kavre.
