Nepali Girl Rescued After Four Years of Captivity in Himachal, India

Kathmandu. A Nepali teenage girl, who had been held captive for four years in a place called Kotakhai in Himachal Pradesh, India, has been rescued. She is a permanent resident of Rukum West.

Based on an application received by the Nepali Embassy in Delhi, a team comprising KIN India, the Child Welfare Committee, and Himachal Police rescued the girl. The information was shared by Navin Joshi, the Executive Director of the social organization KIN India.

According to information provided by Joshi to Nepal News Bank, the girl was safely rescued after two months of continuous effort. She will be brought to Delhi after completing the necessary legal procedures.
