Nepali Artists, Journalists, and Beauticians Honored with Global Excellency Honor–2025 in Thailand

The second edition of the “Global Excellency Honor, Art Music and Business Conference–2025” was successfully held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The event recognized and honored various Nepali artists, journalists, beauticians, and cultural figures from Thailand with the prestigious Global Excellency Honor–2025.

The event was coordinated by singer and media personality Sarita Bharti, who welcomed all participants and explained the core objective of the conference. She stated that the aim was to connect Nepalis living abroad, with the first conference held in Malaysia and this second one taking place in Thailand.

Organized by Vilakshan Creation Pvt. Ltd., the conference featured cultural expert and academician Prof. Bharti Limbuni, founder of NRN Thailand and the Thai Nepali Association. She spoke about the condition of Nepali-speaking communities in Myanmar and Thailand, and their strong attachment to their language and culture. She praised the conference for acting as a bridge between Nepali residents and the diaspora.

Vice President of the Film Journalists Association Nepal, Bijay Aawaj Subedi, highlighted the contributions of film journalists in promoting Nepali art and culture. While facilitating the program, he mentioned that the association has already expanded to the UAE and Japan and will soon open branches in Thailand, Malaysia, and other countries. Secretary Navin Giri also expressed his commitment to support the concerns of Nepali migrants through media advocacy.

Actor and model Sridev Bhattarai shared his views on the convenience of shooting Nepali films and music videos in Thailand and expressed his desire to collaborate with local Nepali artists in future projects.

Model and Mero Universe Dance winner Khushi Karki shared insights about the status of Nepali-speaking artists in Thailand. She also talked about her modeling experiences in Nepal and her journey to Mardi Himal. Shyam Rai, manager of Everest Kitchen Thailand, shared his experience of promoting Nepali traditional cuisine not only among Nepalis but also among international customers.

Journalist and lyricist Dabbu Kshetri extended gratitude to all and expressed concern over the forced migration of Nepali-speaking youths from Myanmar. He appreciated the efforts of NRN and the Thai Nepali Association in preserving and promoting the Nepali language and culture in Thailand.

During the event, several individuals were honored with the Global Excellency Honor–2025. From Thailand, Prof. Bharti Limbuni and former president of the Thai Nepali Association, Kumar Karki, received the award. From Nepal, actor Sridev Bhattarai, journalists Bijay Aawaj Subedi and Navin Giri, and singer Hemant Shishir were also honored for their contributions in their respective fields.

Beauticians Bina Rana Magar (Chairperson of Cheli Makeup Studio), Amala Shahi (Amisa) of the same studio, Rajeshwori Shilpakar (owner of Angel Beauty Parlour in Barhathwa), Sujita Adhikari (owner of Sujita Beauty Parlour in Dhading and first runner-up of Beautician Talent Nepal 2025), and Niran Tamang (Chairperson of Spark Beauty Parlour) were also awarded. Model Khushi Karki was honored with a certificate of appreciation.

The program ended on a musical note as singer Hemant Shishir captivated the audience by performing half a dozen songs, making the ceremony vibrant and memorable.
