27th Annual General Assembly of National PABSON Kaski

Pokhara – The 27th Annual General Assembly and Greetings Exchange Program of National PABSON, Kaski, was concluded on Saturday.

Inaugurating the assembly, Chief Guest and Central President of National PABSON, Subash Nyaupane, said that the destruction caused during the recent Gen-Z movement has deprived thousands of students of teaching and learning opportunities.

“The Government of Nepal has declared the education sector as a peace zone, where schools should not be attacked under any political or other pretext. However, during this movement, schools could not remain untouched by destruction,” President Nyaupane said. “Thousands of students have been deprived of education due to the damage to schools, which we strongly condemn.”

Since educators are directly linked to the lives of students, private school operators should never be provoked, he added. “This movement happened because of widespread corruption everywhere,” he said. “As educators are agents of change, I urge everyone to remain calm and work with full responsibility towards our profession and occupation.”

He further stated that after 54 years, while the process of bringing a new Education Act was underway, the current situation has once again created uncertainty. “When the Education Act was being prepared, there were some disagreements from private schools. We repeatedly discussed these matters with the government.

The government had also started becoming positive,” he said. “But due to the movement, the Education Act has been put on hold again, which has created uncertainty.” He remarked that the interim government cannot make any laws, but expressed hope that the new government formed after the election will bring the new Education Act.

Senior Officer of the Education Division of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Krishna Prasad Bhandari, said that the role of private schools is unparalleled in improving the educational quality of Pokhara. “To make every program introduced by the Education Division successful, the role of National PABSON Kaski has been important,” he said. “We also expect your continued support in the days ahead for educational quality improvement.”

National PABSON’s Central Vice President and Kaski Advisor, Ram Bahadur Mochi, said that quality education with values is the current need. “The incidents that occurred during the recent Gen-Z movement have shown us that we need to be even more responsible,” he said. “Since our profession is one where religion and duty are blended, we must now raise awareness among students through value-based quality education.”

National PABSON’s Central General Secretary, Prakash Khadka, said that in every movement and struggle, private school operators are the ones most affected. He stressed that since they belong to the education profession, they must move forward with greater responsibility.

During the program, PABSON Kaski President Shadananda Gautam, HISAN Kaski President Diwakar Jaisi, Montessori Association Kaski Chairperson Bhawani Adhikari, and Sangam Publication’s Rishiram Sharma Bhandari delivered remarks. In the same program, PABSON Kaski Secretary Premraj Adhikari, Treasurer Raju KC, and Accounts Committee Coordinator Dipu Bhari presented their respective reports.

In addition, a membership certificate was handed over to the founder principal of New Little Step English Boarding School, Pokhara-1, Bhimkalipatan Bagar, Surendra Raj Pandey, as the school was newly affiliated with National PABSON Kaski.

The program was chaired by National PABSON Kaski President Hemant Adhikari. Vice President and Program Coordinator Manakaji Gurung delivered the welcome remarks, while Secretary Premraj Adhikari conducted the program.pabson-kaski-(2)-1759033085.jpg
