‘Ms and Mrs Gurung 2082’ Talent Round Concludes with Grandeur

Kathmandu, Nepal – The talent round of ‘Miss and Misses Gurung 2082’ concluded on a grand note, showcasing the remarkable abilities of the participants. Contestants presented their skills in dance, singing, personality displays, and other performances during the event held on Saturday.
Organized with the aim of promoting Gurung culture, preserving traditions, and empowering women, the beauty pageant saw prominent personalities in attendance. The chief guest of the talent round was Shibaraj Adhikari, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Bagmati Province.
Other distinguished guests included Prakash Bhujel, President of the Tantrik Jhakri Association; Dilman Pakhrin, former minister and head of the Congress Janajati Department; and Parshuram Tamang, central member of Rastriya Prajatantra Party. Special guests also included former DIG Dr. Deuti Gurung, lyricist and program director Ashok Kumar Tamang, Zumba trainer Sunil Khadka, Zumba choreographer Ashish Ruba, dance choreographer Keshab Thapa, and Durga Tamang, Miss Tamang 2024.
A total of 40 contestants showcased their talent through dance, personality skills, singing, and other performances. The event was organized by SK Entertainment under the leadership of Managing Director Shanta Lama Tamang. According to her, this edition of the pageant was more organized, grand, and impactful than previous ones. Notably, it was the first fully free beauty contest in Nepal, providing participants with free forms, training, and necessary support.
The pageant aims to highlight the talent, confidence, and leadership abilities of Gurung women while promoting the preservation of Gurung attire, culture, and traditions. The talent round was marked by captivating cultural performances, inspiring speeches, and enthusiastic participation.
Shanta Lama Tamang is the founder of Shanta Jai Nepal International and has long been active in empowering indigenous communities and women. The final round of the competition will be held on August 25 at the Nepal Police Club.
