Mountain Energy's Net Profit Rises by 38.67%, EPS at NPR 16.27
Mountain Energy Nepal Limited has published its unaudited financial statement for the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/83. According to the statement, the company's net profit has increased by 38.67% during this period.
In the first quarter, the company earned a net profit of NPR 42 crore 34 lakh 96 thousand. In the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, the company's net profit was NPR 30 crore 53 lakh 93 thousand.
During this period, the company earned NPR 61 crore 35 lakh 59 thousand from the sale of electricity, which is 23.70% more compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
In the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, the company's income from electricity sales was NPR 49 crore 60 lakh 19 thousand.
The company also received NPR 9 lakh from an insurance claim during this period. The company's operating profit has increased from NPR 37 crore 65 lakh to NPR 47 crore 16 lakh. The profit before tax for the company stands at NPR 43 crore 47 lakh.
The company's paid-up capital during this period is NPR 2 billion 60 crore 27 lakh. The retained earnings are NPR 1 billion 76 crore. In the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, the company's paid-up capital was NPR 2 billion 26 crore 32 lakh.
The paid-up capital increased after the company distributed a 15% bonus share for the fiscal year 2080/81. The company has recently proposed to distribute a 20% bonus share and a 1.0526% cash dividend (for tax purposes) for the fiscal year 2081/82.
The annualized earnings per share (EPS) for the company increased from NPR 13.49 to NPR 16.27 during this period. The company's net worth per share is NPR 167.78. The company is regularly producing electricity from its 42 MW Myagdi Khola and 5 MW Tadi Khola projects.
