Mountain Energy Nepal Announces Highest Ever Dividend of Over 21%

Mountain Energy Nepal Limited has announced its dividend. The company stated that the Board of Directors meeting, held on Kartik 20,proposed a dividend to be distributed from the profit of the Fiscal Year 2081/82.

Accordingly, the company has proposed to distribute a total dividend of 21.0526% from the profit of F.Y. 2081/82, which includes a 20% bonus share on the company's current paid-up capital and a 1.0526% cash dividend for tax purposes. This proposed dividend will be distributed to investors after being approved by the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The company has called the AGM for Mangsir 29. The company has decided to hold the book closure on Mangsir 17 for the purpose of the AGM. Only shareholders registered in the company's book until Mangsir 16 will be eligible to attend the meeting and receive the proposed dividend.

This is the highest dividend the company has ever announced. Furthermore, the dividend proposed by the company is also the highest among all hydropower companies.
