Mayor Balen’s Satirical Comment on  Deuba’s  Post: “Which VPN is This Post From?”

Kathmandu – Mayor Balen of Kathmandu Metropolitan City made a satirical comment on a Facebook post by former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress Chairperson Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Balen wrote in his comment, “Which VPN is this post from, Nepali or foreign? It must be really difficult to post using a VPN!!!”

The government recently imposed a ban on social media. However, its own officials and leaders have been using VPNs to share information with citizens.

According to Mayor Balen, it is even more shameful that a government that bans social media is itself using it through VPNs.

This satirical comment highlights the government’s contradictory actions and sheds light on the challenges of using technology to communicate with the public under the social media restrictions.
