Madhesi Ekta Samaj Qatar holds Welcome-Honor and Greeting Exchange Program
Qatar. Under the organization of Madhesi Ekta Samaj Qatar, a welcome-honor and greeting exchange program has been completed on the occasion of the English New Year 2026 and the Maghe Sankranti festival. The society successfully held the grand event on Thursday (15 January 2026) at the assembly hall of Gorkhali Restaurant in Al Muntazah.
The program was chaired by Ali Hussain Rain, President of Madhesi Ekta Samaj Qatar.
Dr. Rajiv Jha, Vice President of the Nepal National Liberation Party Nepal and Chairman of Cloth Bank Nepal, participated as the chief guest. During his speech, he clarified that sustainable progress of the country is not possible without the overall development of Madhesh, social unity, and political stability.
Special guests at the program included Rajiv Jha, International Vice President of Madhesi Ekta Samaj, Krishna Panthi, President of NRNA Qatar, and representatives from various Madhesi organizations.
International Vice President Jha emphasized that all organizations must unite for the development, rights, and political stability of Madhesh. Speakers at the event pointed out the need for mutual cooperation and unity, stating that political stability alongside the economic, social, and educational development of Madhesh is the primary need of today.
The organization's Treasurer, Gautam Sharma, delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the program's objectives and the cultural significance of the Maghe Sankranti festival, while Middle East Coordinator Abhay Kumar Thakur expressed gratitude to everyone who helped make the program a success.
The program was facilitated by General Secretary Chandraveer Yadav. During his remarks, he expressed serious concern regarding the education sector in Madhesh, stating that development is impossible without quality education. He strongly emphasized that the state, political parties, and social organizations must immediately take responsibility for educational reform.
The formal start of the program included the unveiling of the banner, lighting of the lamp, the national anthem, and a one-minute silence for departed souls. According to the organizers, the program was grand and successful due to the significant presence of participating guests, officials, and the Madhesi community.
