Lions District 325 M Zone Workshop Emphasizing Service and Leadership Development

A Zone Workshop, organized by Lions Clubs International, District 325 M Nepal, was successfully concluded in Kathmandu. The workshop was presided over by District 325 M Nepal Governor Dhani Ram Baral, and the program was completed with Past District Governor Mahendra Poudel as the chief guest. 

Speaking during the opening session of the program, Poudel expressed his belief that this workshop would be helpful in achieving the goal of leadership development, which is one of the working areas of Lions, and he emphasized that Lions' service work should focus on genuine assistance rather than merely being for show.

The program saw the participation of a total of 31 Zone Chairpersons who are serving in the Lion Year 2025/2026 under Lions Clubs International, District 325 M Nepal. 

District GLT Coordinator Laxman Timilsina informed that the facilitation for the program was provided by Multiple District GLT Coordinator Uttam Prasad Jha, Multiple District GMT Coordinator Mani Shree Ratna Bajracharya, Immediate Past Governor of District 325 M Nepal Chandi Prasad Aryal, Cabinet Secretary Jagannath Timilsina, and others.

The workshop included facilitation on subjects such as the role and responsibilities of the Zone Chairperson, problem-solving skills for challenges encountered in the field of work, goal setting, and plan construction. 

The role of the Zone Chairperson is considered important in Lions because one must serve as a Zone/Region Chairperson for at least one term to qualify for the post of Lions Club Governor, and the Zone Chairperson position itself is designated by the International association.

The event was attended by District First Vice Governor Ratna Prasad Parajuli, District Second Vice Governor Kishor Baral, Past District Multiple Chairperson Giridhari Sharma, Cabinet Secretary Jagannath Timilsina, Chief Advisor Balaram Subedi, Secretariat Chief Dr. Bishnu Gautam, Zone Advisor Shibaraj Acharya, Chief of PRO Geeta Sharma Chapagain, District GMT Coordinator Laxman Timilsina, GET Coordinator Devendra Saru, Cluster Chief Dipak Acharya, and others.
