Landslide Blocks Karnali Highway in Kalikot

Kalikot — A massive landslide, along with falling boulders, has blocked the Karnali Highway at Gagane Khola in Kalikot since last night. Due to the obstruction, vehicular movement along the highway has come to a complete halt. A team from the Jumla Road Division Office is currently working to clear the debris.

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Gyanendra Shahi informed through social media that the highway is expected to reopen within the next four to five hours. He also urged passengers, including those traveling in trucks carrying apples and other vehicles stuck on the road, to remain patient.

According to the Road Division Office, once the highway is cleared, stranded vehicles will be given priority for passage.
