Landslide at Gagane Khola: Army Team Deployed, Informs Leader Gyanendra Shahi via Social Media
A massive landslide, including large boulders, that occurred last night at Gagane Khola along the Karnali Highway has obstructed road transport. Despite continuous efforts, the Road Division Office in Jumla was unable to break the huge boulder, resulting in a complete disruption of traffic.
Since the boulder cannot be removed without explosives, a team from the Nepal Army’s Kalikot-based Gulm has been mobilized for blasting operations in coordination with the District Administration Office, Kalikot, and the Road Division Office, Jumla, according to RPP leader Gyanendra Shahi, who shared the information through social media.
He further mentioned that the army team is heading towards the site, with the expectation that the road will reopen soon. Travelers have been urged to remain patient, and apologies have been expressed for the inconvenience caused.
