‘Janai Haraeko Manche: Sambandhka Dhagaharu’ Poster Unveiled Simultaneously in Eight Cities

Kathmandu – The poster of the much-anticipated Nepali film ‘Janai Haraeko Manche: Sambandhka Dhagaharu’ has been officially unveiled with a unique nationwide promotional campaign. The film’s production team launched the poster simultaneously in eight major cities across Nepal — Kathmandu, Jhapa, Dharan, Itahari, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Butwal, and Nepalgunj — at exactly 3:30 PM.

According to producer Bimal Nyaupane, the synchronized unveiling was done with an aim to create nationwide buzz and intrigue among the audience. “We chose a symbolic gesture of releasing balloons in each city along with the poster to generate excitement and connect with audiences outside the capital,” he said.

In an effort to do publicity differently, the film team released two posters simultaneously. One features Vijay Baral, Keki Adhikari, and Miruna Magar, while the second highlights Keki Adhikari alone.

Designed by Rakesh Dahal, the posters visually explore the emotional entanglements of the film’s main characters. In one poster, Keki and Miruna appear on either side of Vijay, both holding strings, which Vijay grasps in the middle — symbolizing the conflict of choice. Miruna appears in a bridal outfit, while Vijay’s costume is split into two — half blue (Keki) and half red (Miruna), representing two contrasting paths in life.

The imagery suggests Keki plays Vijay’s elder sister, while Miruna portrays the woman he loves — but from a different ethnic background. The poster hints at Vijay’s internal struggle: whether to uphold his traditional Aryan family values or follow his heart and make a revolutionary decision.

In the second poster, Keki is shown bound by threads of yellow, blue, and red, symbolizing her own inner conflict — whether to support Vijay’s unconventional love or conform to societal norms. The caption reads: “Jati peeda bhae pani kahile aiya nabhanne meri didi” (Even in pain, my sister never complains), subtly indicating her emotional support for Vijay’s dilemma.

The symbolic use of thread and color captures the psychological state of characters torn between love, family, and tradition — giving the film a unique visual identity even before its release.

Directed by Himal Nyaupane, the film is slated for release on Bhadra 6 (August 22, 2025). The associate director is actor Manish Raut, known for Prem Geet 3.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Vijay Baral, Keki Adhikari, Miruna Magar, Gaurav Pahari, Sushank Mainali, Bholaraj Sapkota, Arus Bhusal, Riyar Rai, Bhavana Khapangi Magar, Rupesh Lama, and Suman Thapa.

Produced under the Paperclip banner by Kamal Nyaupane and Bimal Nyaupane, the film also lists Narayan Timilsina, Chudamani Sibakoti, RK Manandhar, CR Basnet, Philip DC, and James Maharjan as executive producers.

The film features music by Thaneshwar Gautam, Arjun Pokharel, SD Yogi, and Prashant Sibakoti. Naveen Gurung serves as DOP, with cinematography by Krishna Pariyar.

The story, screenplay, and dialogues have been penned by Bhanubhakta Dhakal, with Dinesh Bahadur Raut as chief assistant director. The assistant directors include Tarkaraj Nyaupane, Ravindra Nepal, Monika Thapa, and Akash KC, while Laxmanraj Paudel is the production controller.

The film will be distributed by Govinda Shahi’s Kafiya Films.

After the blockbuster success of Purnabahadurko Sarangi, Janai Haraeko Manche marks Vijay Baral’s first major role of the year. His pairing with Keki Adhikari in this film is expected to make a strong impression in 2081 B.S., potentially delivering another major hit for the Nepali film industry.
