Veteran Journalist Nawaraj Bajgain Honored with Global Star Award 2025

Kathmandu – Renowned journalist, writer, and social worker Nawaraj Bajgain, who has been active in the field of journalism, literature, and social service for over two decades, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Global Star Award 2025’.

The award was presented during the grand finale event of the 9th edition of Mrs. Beautiful Nepal and the 10th edition of Miss Beautiful Nepal, held on Saturday at the Nepal Police Club, Kathmandu.

Bajgain was recognized for his notable contribution to social transformation through journalism. The honor was jointly awarded by Daksh International and Raj Beauty Academy & Makeup Studio. In addition to the special honor, he also received the Best Lyrics Composition Award for the song "For Good Governance", published by Nava Kshitiz Weekly. The lyrics of the award-winning song were penned by Bajgain himself.

Distinguished personalities present at the event included former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, senior musician Shambhujeet Baskota, veteran actors Ramesh Upreti, Mohan Niraula, and Ramesh Budhathoki, show director Tekraj Pandey, Member of Parliament Bishnu Kumari Sapkota, former Minister Dipendra Shrestha, and MP Chandra Bhandari, who collectively honored Bajgain on the occasion.

In his response to the recognition, Bajgain expressed that the award has inspired and energized him further in his literary pursuits.

Originally from Mandandeupur Municipality–4, Kavrepalanchok, Bajgain currently serves as a central member of Press Chautari Nepal, former vice-president of its Kavre chapter, advisor to the Online Media Network, and editor-in-chief of both Nava Kshitiz Weekly and RamroSandesh.com. Apart from journalism, he remains actively involved in literature, performing arts, and social service, and has been honored by numerous institutions for his contributions.
