Complaint Filed with Cyber Bureau Against Misinformation About Facial House; NPR 100 Million Compensation Demanded Per Individual

Kathmandu – Nepal’s leading unisex beauty salon, Facial House, which has been providing beauty services across the country, has filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau against individuals who have been posting misleading content on social media that harms the brand’s name and reputation.

Facial House has initiated legal action through the Cyber Bureau and the courts against those attempting to defame the institution by spreading false information.

According to Sushma Mahara, Secretary of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kathmandu (NCICK) and Managing Director of Facial House, several individuals have been posting false video clips and content on social media by misusing the company’s name and logo, despite having no official affiliation with the organization.

She stated, “Any activity that harms the image of the institution is completely unacceptable. Legal action has been initiated through the Cyber Bureau and the courts, demanding compensation of NPR 100 million (Rs 10 crores) per individual responsible for such acts.”

Facial House has urged customers and the general public to remain cautious about such fake propaganda. Furthermore, Managing Director Mahara requested that in case of any grievances or questions, people should contact the official office of Facial House.

“These types of activities not only damage the institution but also affect the morale of women engaged in the beauty industry across the country. That is why we are compelled to take legal steps in support of the truth,” Mahara said.

According to her, Facial House currently operates 10 branches nationwide, contributing to entrepreneurship and providing direct employment to over 200 individuals.

She warned that such unruly actions could negatively impact branches across the country and vowed that the demanded compensation of NPR 10 crore would be pursued and recovered through legal channels. “We will not tolerate any activity that harms the institution’s image under any circumstances. We have initiated legal proceedings through the Cyber Bureau and the courts, demanding NPR 1o crore in compensation per individual,” she reiterated.facial-house-1753588833.jpeg
