Intercultural Program Concludes at Everest School

Everest School, Miwachen Byasi, Bhaktapur organized an intercultural program on Sunday. The event, believed to be the first of its kind in Bhaktapur, was held with the aim of strengthening relations between Nepal and Germany.
The program was conducted in two phases. The first phase included a formal session with various cultural performances from Nepal and Germany. Traditional Nepali Dhime dance and different German dances were showcased together on the same stage, all performed by the school’s students.
The second phase featured an exhibition with different stalls. Visitors were able to taste a variety of Nepali and German cuisines, with hot meals available for purchase. In addition, traditional Nepali games were demonstrated, along with stalls highlighting aspects of German culture.
During the opening session, the national anthems of both Nepal and Germany were performed, along with songs from both countries.
Founder Principal of the school, Bhakta Raj Bhandari, German language teachers, and other speakers discussed the importance of Nepal–Germany relations. Students from grades 4 to 8 actively participated in the event.
