Indian Media Report Live on Gen Z Protest and Government Crackdown
KATHMANDU, September 9, 2025 – During yesterday’s Gen Z protest, police opened fire, resulting in the deaths of 19 young protesters.
Following this incident, widespread anger has erupted across the country. In the protests, the residence of Prime Minister KP Oli in Balkot was set on fire, and several other political leaders’ houses were also damaged.
To cover these events firsthand, Indian media outlets, including Dainik Bhaskar and NDTV, arrived in the Naya Baneshwor area of Kathmandu on Tuesday morning. They are reporting live on the protests, government crackdown, and incidents of arson.
