Former PM Prachanda Extends Heartfelt Greetings on Indra Jatra
Kathmandu, September 6 – Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, has extended his warm greetings to all Nepali brothers and sisters, including the Newar community, on the auspicious occasion of Indra Jatra, celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Kathmandu Valley.
In his Facebook post, Prachanda highlighted Indra Jatra as a vibrant symbol of the Newar community’s unique culture, identity, and self-respect. He emphasized that the festival plays a significant role in preserving Nepal’s proud history, promoting social harmony, and passing cultural heritage to future generations.
He further noted that cultural festivals like Indra Jatra provide an important foundation for strengthening the federal democratic republic of Nepal, promoting social justice, equality, and prosperity.
