Mr. Krish Yadav, 17-year-old Activist, Felicitated as Golchha Group presents Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2025

Mr. Krish Yadav, a 17-year-old Content Creator from Dhanusha, has been awarded the title of “Golchha Group presents Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2025” amidst an award ceremony at The Plaza, Lalitpur, organized by Glocal Pvt. Ltd today. Over the past decade, the Glocal Teen Hero initiative has built a legacy of recognizing teenagers who excel beyond academics, providing a platform to showcase their extraordinary talents. Glocal Teen Hero Nepal profoundly acknowledges teenagers’ initiation, creativity, and enthusiasm, empowering them to catalyze positive change at the intersection of global and local domains.
Mr. Yadav was selected among the Top Six Finalists of the competition, viz Ms. Manushi Neupane (17 year old - SRHR Advocate from Syangja), Mr. Nischal Dhungana (19 year old - Climate Justice Advocate from Kapilvastu), Mr. Oxford Acharya (15 year old - Policy Advocate from Jumla), Ms. Renuka Singh (18 year old - Agropreneur from Sarlahi), Mr.Safal Poudel (18 year old - AI Developer from Rupandehi).
Mr. Krish Yadav is a 17-year-old socially curious storyteller and leader passionate about understanding how societies function and evolve. With a strong foundation in the social sciences, he has led creative teams, hosted public debates, and produced documentaries addressing key national issues. Krish has represented Nepal on international platforms and worked with local governments on policy-focused initiatives. He is a dynamic teen leader and content creator deeply engaged in storytelling, education, and social research.
He is the Host and Producer of TNC Debates, a reality debate show on the YouTube channel TNC Unscripted, where he also serves as Co-Lead, overseeing creative direction for four original shows with an audience of over 15,500 subscribers. As Associate Creative Head at The Nepali Comment (405K+ subscribers), Krish produces compelling socio-political and historical documentaries, making complex issues accessible and engaging for the public.
He serves as the National Program Coordinator for the Himalayan Linguistics Olympiad Nepal, helping organize national Olympiads on Linguistics and AI while promoting problem-solving skills among youth. Through Project Bibek, he surveyed over 480 students in the Kathmandu Valley to explore perceptions of the education system and its societal impact.
He is currently developing an academic paper on this research under the mentorship of a sociologist. Additionally, Krish is the co-founder of Project Stitch, a narrative-driven ethnic brand that designs modern utility bags using ethically sourced indigenous fabrics, merging culture with contemporary purpose. As the host of TNC Debates, with over 170,000 views, Krish has fostered democratic dialogue, even featuring real student election candidates.
Through TNC Unscripted (2M+ views), he co-led creative formats like live town halls and immersive documentaries, many of which are now used in classrooms and public discourse. At The Nepali Comment (6.5M+ views), his long-form explainers have entered educational and policy spaces. As Lead Organizer of the Himalayan Linguistics Olympiad, he expanded outreach by 220% and helped redefine youth education beyond textbooks.
His Project Bibek, which surveyed 480+ students across 11 schools, is informing youth-centric education policy. From mapping economic challenges in Jiri to co-founding a cultural brand, Krish uses media, data, and dialogue to amplify overlooked narratives and empower youth to think critically and act consciously.
The Top Six Finalists were shortlisted for the final round of the Golchha Group presents Glocal Teen Hero Nepal based on their achievements, initiatives, contributions, and impact of work. The Finalists also attended a series of Self-Competency Workshops on various topics and had the opportunity to interact with industry leaders and corporate personalities to broaden their knowledge.
The final screening was done by a jury team composed of Ms. Chandrika Kalia, Country Director of Coca-Cola Nepal; Dr. Ghana Shyam Gurung, Country Director of WWF Nepal; Ms. Seema Golchha, Director of Golchha Group; Mr. Suraj Vaidya, President of VOITH; and Mr. Thomas Miller, Charge d’affaires of the European Union to Nepal. The teenagers were chosen based on their applications, resumes, supporting documentation, and essays about their achievements. They were marked on their creativity, accomplishment, effect, and, most importantly, the sustainability of their work.
