Global IME Bank's 19th Annual General Meeting Concluded
The 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Global IME Bank Limited was successfully concluded in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The AGM unanimously approved the proposal of the Board of Directors to distribute an 8 percent cash dividend (including tax) from the accumulated profits of the fiscal year 2081/82 to its shareholders.
The meeting approved the Annual Report and the Consolidated Financial Statements presented by the bank's Chairman, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, on behalf of the Board of Directors, and passed the resolution for the distribution of the cash dividend.
The bank had earned an operating profit of Rs. 7.23 billion and a net profit after tax of Rs. 5.07 billion in the fiscal year 2081/82.
Addressing the AGM, Chairman Dhakal stated that the bank is committed to providing appropriate dividends to shareholders while fully complying with the policies and regulations of the Government of Nepal and Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
Furthermore, he mentioned that the bank plans to sustainably expand into new business areas as part of its business strategy.
The AGM saw the presence of representatives from Nepal Rastra Bank, Nepal Securities Board (SEBON), Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), shareholders, representatives of institutional shareholders, media personnel, representatives of regulatory bodies, and employees.
