Prime Minister Oli Comments on Gen Z Protest
Kathmandu – Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has shared his views following the announcement by Gen Z youth to take to the streets against the social media ban. Oli stated, “I believe Gen Z is well aware of laws and regulations.”
He clarified that the government’s intention was not to ban social media but merely to call for registration, asserting that he does not support shutdowns or restrictions.
The Prime Minister made this statement at a time when Gen Z youth are preparing street protests against the government’s decision.
Oli’s remarks indicate a need for dialogue with the youth, without explicitly supporting or opposing the government’s move.
