Free Dental Health Camp Concluded by Newa Misa Puch, Nayabazar

Pokhara – A free dental health camp was successfully conducted on Saturday under the initiative of Newa Misa Puch, Nayabazar, located in Ward No. 9 of Pokhara Metropolitan City. The program was supported financially by Ward No. 9 and technically by Orchid Dental and Orthodontic Center, located in Ward No. 11 of Pokhara.

The camp was held on the premises of the multipurpose building of the Nepal Red Cross Society Pokhara-9 sub-branch at Siddhamarg. Over 150 individuals received dental services at the camp. According to Dr. Anjana Karmaacharya, dental consultations were provided free of charge, and patients received 10 to 20 percent discounts on additional tests and treatments.

Inaugurating the program, Chief Guest and Ward Chairperson of Pokhara-9 Dipendra Marsani, Ward Member Nandaram Giri, General Secretary of Newa Khala Kaski Shree Krishna Katila, former chairperson of Newa Misa Puch Nayabazar Yamuna Tajhya, and others extended their best wishes for the success of the event. They highlighted that Newa Misa Puch Nayabazar has established itself as a leading organization in social work.

Dentists from Orchid Dental and Orthodontic Center — Dr. Anjana Karmaacharya, Dr. Sami Shrestha, Dr. Laxmi Paudel, Purnima Kisan, Aakriti Manandhar, and Nita Magar — conducted dental checkups and distributed medicines during the camp.

The program saw participation from Ward Secretary Kulraj Paudel, Ward Member Laxmi Pahari, President of the Ward Coordination Committee of Tole Bikas Sanstha Uttam Joshi, President of Nayabazar Cultural Committee Yogendra Bataju, President of Darbarthok Tole Bikas Sanstha Milan KC, journalist Krishna Ranabhat, President of Lyam Puch Kaski Vinit Jojiju, President of Lyam Puch Nayabazar Roshan Manandhar, Editor of Bhintuna Magazine Uday Amatya, President of the Ward Agriculture Network Bimala Ranabhat, along with representatives from Tole Bikas Sansthas, mothers’ groups, and women’s groups.

The event was chaired by Newa Misa Puch Nayabazar Chairperson Kopila Shrestha. Former chairperson and program coordinator Mira Shrestha delivered the vote of thanks. The welcome speech was given by Vice Chairperson Mina Makaju, and the event was conducted by Secretary Usha Silpakar.
