Meeting Between NRNA President Dr. Badri KC and World Bank Regional Director
The President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Dr. Badri KC, paid a courtesy call on the World Bank’s Regional Director (Nepal, Maldives, and Sri Lanka), David N. Sislen.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on Nepal’s economic development, investment promotion, and prospects for mutual cooperation.
On behalf of the Association, President Dr. KC highly appreciated the contribution of the World Bank in Nepal’s infrastructure, education, health, and social security sectors.
Furthermore, discussions were also held on the possibility of linking the knowledge, skills, and investment flow from the Non-Resident Nepali community with the programs of the World Bank.
On the occasion, World Bank Regional Director Sislen expressed confidence that by working together with the Non-Resident Nepali Association, joint efforts and projects necessary for Nepal’s sustainable development could be undertaken.
During the meeting, CEO Anilraj Bhattarai provided information regarding the NRN Development Fund, while the Association’s Chief Executive Officer Rajendra Kumar Raut shed light on the collaborations the Association has been carrying out with various international organizations and institutions.
