CZOP Formed Lumbini Province Committee: Dambar as Chair and Hemraj as Secretary
Nepalgunj. The Lumbini Province level committee of the Children as Zones of Peace National Campaign (CZOP), an organization working for children's rights, has been formed.
A meeting of CZOP’s province-level member organizations held today selected a 7-member committee chaired by Dambar Sunar, the Executive Director of B-Group. Hemraj Bhatta, the Director of BAS Nepal, was chosen as the Secretary of the committee.
Other members include Kamala Sapkota, Bikiran Gautam, Dipsara Pun, and Chiranjivi Gyawali. One member position remains vacant and will be filled during the first meeting of the newly elected committee.
The digital meeting was chaired by CZOP General Secretary Raju Ghimire. Shivlal Pandey, the CZOP Lumbini Province In-charge, welcomed the participants and explained the goals of the program.
During the gathering, General Secretary Raju Ghimire gave a presentation on the organization’s current work and the rules for forming and managing the province committee.
The committee will serve a term of 2 years. Children as Zones of Peace (CZOP) has been running nationwide campaigns to promote child-friendly environments, nutrition, social security for children, and the protection of children's rights.
