Clothing Bank Launched in Gulariya, Bardiya

Nepalgunj / BAS Nepal Bardiya Branch launched a Clothing Bank today in Gulariya, Bardiya.

The Clothing Bank was inaugurated during a program held at Radhakrishna Chowk in Gulariya. The initiative follows the main objective: "A gift from those who have to those who don't; let’s share warmth and save humanity."

The active youth of the BAS Nepal Bardiya branch moved forward with the plan to establish this bank to ensure that no one is deprived of clothes during the cold weather. Their goal is to help everyone, from children to senior citizens, survive the freezing cold through small contributions and collective efforts.

The officers of BAS Nepal Bardiya branch collected financial donations from those who could afford it and clothes from others to drive this campaign. The bank was officially launched today with a grand ceremony at Radhakrishna Chowk.

The program was chaired by Khumesh Subedi, Central Vice President of BAS Nepal. Other attendees included Central Secretary Joshina Tharu, Central Member Ishwar BK, Executive Director Namaskar Shah, former Central Member Nain Sunar, Public Relations Officer Madhav Karki, and Administrative Assistant Meena Gharti Magar.

Chief Guest Khumesh Subedi inaugurated the Clothing Bank by cutting a ribbon and distributed clothes to people who had come to receive them. During the event, Executive Director Namaskar Shah delivered a speech thanking all the branch officers for starting this noble cause.

He remarked that despite being busy with various professions, the team showed great leadership. He also noted that while establishing the bank is a great step, managing it will be a challenge and urged everyone to focus on its sustainability.

Similarly, Nain Sunar, a former central member of BAS Nepal and an executive member of Gulariya Municipality, stated that coordination and cooperation from everyone are essential for such initiatives.

Clothes were distributed to the needy people present at the event. The program was chaired by Ram Sunam, President of BAS Nepal Bardiya branch. The welcome speech was given by Treasurer Ram Bhandari, and the program was conducted by member Laxman Bhandari.
