Chitwan Women’s Gold/Silver Entrepreneurs Group Celebrates Teej, Emphasizes Social Harmony and Unity

Chitwan — On the occasion of the Nepali women’s festival, Haritalika Teej, the Chitwan Women’s Gold/Silver Entrepreneurs Group organized a special Teej program in Narayangadh on Monday, highlighting social harmony, unity, and women’s empowerment.

Ritu Bishwakarma, central member of the Nepal Gold/Silver Entrepreneurs Federation and coordinator of the Women’s Empowerment Committee, emphasized the cultural significance of Teej and urged that it be preserved as a cultural festival, warning against recent distortions of its traditional values.

Indira Sadashankar, advisor to the Chitwan Women’s Gold/Silver Entrepreneurs Group, highlighted Teej’s originality and unique cultural features.

Kalpana Gotame, president of the Chitwan Women’s Gold/Silver Entrepreneurs Group, said the event was organized to bring sisters together, encourage mutual support, and share joys and sorrows.
