Candlelight Vigil in Tallo Gagangaunda in Memory of Those Who Lost Their Lives in the Gen Z Movement

Pokhara. A candlelight vigil was held this evening at Tallo Gagangaunda Chowk, Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 32, in memory of those who lost their lives during the Gen Z Movement.
Former president of the Nepal Red Cross Society, Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 32, Kisan Pariyar, informed that locals from Tallo Gagangaunda and nearby areas gathered collectively at the Prithvi Highway section to light candles.
He emphasized that the legitimate demands raised during the Gen Z Movement must be addressed properly by the state.
The nationwide Gen Z protests held on September 8 and 9 had raised demands such as the reopening of deactivated social media, ending corruption, ensuring accountability, and maintaining transparency. A large number of youths lost their lives during the demonstrations.
So far, 73 people have died across the country during the protests, while many others are still undergoing treatment.
