Baghamara Festival to Be Held in Bharatpokhari, Pokhara-33
Pokhara Metropolitan City-33, Bharatpokhari will host the Baghamara Festival from Bhadra 19 to 30, organized by Shubhatara Youth Club, according to a Monday press conference.
Speaking at the event, Ward Chair Ramchandra Adhikari said the festival aims to promote local art, culture, tourism, and preserve traditional language, songs, dances, attire, and handicrafts. It will also foster community cooperation and provide a platform for local products and tourism, generating income for the area.
Shubhatara Youth Club President Debendra Sapkota added that the festival seeks to promote cultural preservation, social unity, economic growth, tourism, and education, and appealed for media support.
The festival will feature 145 stalls, including over 70 already booked, showcasing handicrafts, garments, kitchenware, agriculture, financial services, restaurants, and more. Performances will include children’s park activities and school-level dances.
Established in 2070 BS, Shubhatara Youth Club has been actively involved in social, cultural, and youth development programs. The estimated cost of organizing the festival is around NPR 4 million.
