Ather 450 Breaks Range Anxiety with a 6,000+ km Cross-Country Electric Ride
Kathmandu, Nepal
In a journey that redefines what Ather is capable of, two passionate riders from Goa had embarked on an ambitious cross-country expedition to Nepal on the Ather 450, covering over 6,000 kilometers (round trip) on an Ather electric scooter.
It is planned to be recorded in the Asia Book of Records, the expedition aims to achieve two landmark recognitions:
Longest electric scooter ride by an individual, and
The first-ever cross-country electric scooter ride of its kind.
But this journey is about more than records.
It is about trust, trust in technology, trust in infrastructure, and trust in a product that has been built in India for real-world conditions.
Proving Ather More than a Scooter
For many riders, range anxiety and charging concerns remain the biggest barriers to choose an electric scooter. This journey directly addressed those doubts - not through advertisements or claims, but through lived experience.
The journey started on 9th January from Goa, India. Riding the Ather 450, the duo will travel through Goa → Gorakhpur → Butwal → Chitwan → Kathmandu, navigating diverse terrains, long highways, border crossings, and real charging scenarios along the way. Every kilometer ridden stands as living proof that Ather is no longer limited by range or reliability.
By relying on Ather’s robust 450 platform and growing charging ecosystem, the riders are addressing two of the biggest barriers to EV adoption - charging anxiety and range anxiety - not through claims, but through experience.
A Journey That Connects Communities
Beyond the road and the records, the expedition carried a deeper purpose: bringing together the Ather community across borders.
As the journey passed through India and into Nepal, it created meaningful interactions between Ather owners in India and Nepal, strengthening a shared sense of trust, belonging, and belief in electric mobility. These real customer stories - unscripted and authentic – will form the heart of the journey.
Built in India. Trusted Everywhere.
The Ather 450 used for this expedition is designed, engineered, and manufactured in India.
Taking it across countries and climates reinforces what customers already experience every day - Ather is not just an EV brand; it is a partner built for reliability, performance, and long-term ownership.
The ride reached to Butwal on 17th Jan, Chitwan on 18th Jan and finally to Kathmandu on 19th Jan. There was a meet and greet session in each Ather Experience Center location with EV and tech enthusiast.
As these two riders rolled into Kathmandu, they won’t just be completing a journey - they’ll be changing the way people think about electric scooters.
This is not about how far an EV can go.
It’s about how far belief, engineering, and community can take you.
