700 New Industries Registered This Year – The Highest So Far: PM Oli

Kathmandu,July 23 – A record-breaking 700 new industries have been registered in Nepal this year, according to a statement made by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on his official Facebook page.
He noted that over the past 20 years, an average of only 300 industries were registered annually. The current surge, he said, is a result of recent legal reforms implemented by the government to promote entrepreneurship and investment.
PM Oli also recalled that following the political changes of 1990 (2046 B.S.), a similar spike in industrial registrations was observed due to increased economic liberalization. He suggested that the current momentum is the most significant since that period.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this growth in the industrial sector will contribute to capital mobilization, job creation, and economic dynamism.
