Yuvraj Safal Claims Ravi Lamichhane Released on Bail, Not Acquitted
Yuvraj Safal, who previously gained notoriety for filing cases against Ravi Lamichhane regarding his citizenship and other issues, has released a statement claiming that Lamichhane’s release does not mean he is innocent.
In a video message posted on social media, Safal argued that Lamichhane is not being released because he was proven innocent or given a "clean shave," but rather because he is paying a substantial bail amount.
Following the High Court's order to release Lamichhane on bail, Safal reacted by saying, "The court did not release Ravi Lamichhane on general dates or give him a clean chit. Don't be too happy. If I want, I can put him back in the cage tomorrow—think about that, brothers."
Safal further contended that the bail amount itself serves as an admission of guilt regarding the misappropriation of cooperative funds.
He claimed, "After Lamichhane appealed to be let out by stating he was ready to pay back the embezzled money from the cooperative, the court ordered him to pay 26.8 million rupees (2 crore 68 lakh) and go."
