Youth Association to Hold Torch Rallies Nationwide to Protest Burning of UML Flag
The Youth Association is set to organize torch rallies across the country to protest the burning of the CPN (UML) flag. According to the association's chairman, Maharaj Gurung, leaders and activists of the Youth Association nationwide are on standby to counter what he described as a direct assault on the UML.
He stated that the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is attempting to create a confrontation on the eve of the election. He mentioned that preparations are underway to hold torch rallies this evening to resist the insult directed at the entire party line through the burning of the UML flag today.
"We were working to ensure the election is completed peacefully," Gurung said. "The RSP's activities in Dang appeared unnatural and aimed at disrupting the election. We will strongly resist it."
He informed that while they would not engage in any chaotic activities, they are preparing programs in line with their policy of defending against actions that go against the party's interests.
