Kathmandu: On the fifth day of the 11th General Convention of the CPN (UML), the voting process is currently underway at Bhrikutimandap. Delegates have been seen standing in long queues since early morning to cast their ballots.

While waiting in line, delegates and candidates are actively introducing themselves and canvassing for votes. UML leader Thakur Prasad Gaire, a participant in the convention, informed that while the voting was originally scheduled to begin yesterday evening, it was pushed to today due to technical reasons.

Tulsi Prasad Neupane, a Central Committee member and convention delegate, was also spotted in line seeking support in a unique style. He mentioned that he is running for reelection to the Central Committee. Similarly, another delegate, Aphilal Ukheda, noted that Central Committee members are personally reaching out to voters to solicit support.

Comparing the convention to a "Mahakumbha" (a grand gathering), delegates emphasized the importance of active participation. Delegate Mahendradev Shrestha remarked that the convention is proceeding peacefully. The party has stated that the 11th General Convention is being conducted in an organized and tranquil environment.
