Narayan Kaji Shrestha Condemns U.S. Attack on Venezuela, Calls It Violation of International Law
Kathmandu. Senior leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has strongly condemned the attack carried out by the United States on Venezuela and the incident of detaining the country’s president and his wife.
He stated that the incident constitutes an attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of an independent nation. “The barbaric attack carried out by the United States on Venezuela and the act of taking its president and his wife into custody is an attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a free and independent country,” he wrote on social media.
Leader Shrestha also strongly criticized the United States’ actions, saying they represent a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law. He warned that such incidents pose a serious threat to world peace and international norms.
He urged the United Nations and all international institutions, as well as the global community, to take immediate and effective action against the incident.
He further emphasized the need to stand firmly in defense of national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and world peace.
Shrestha also expressed the view that lasting peace in the world is not possible without respect for international law and the multilateral system.
