Upendra Yadav Says: Future Change Is for the Guaranteed Future of the New Generation

Saptari, January 30: Upendra Yadav, Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, has stated that past governments were dishonest in establishing the changes gained through various struggles. He said that the upcoming changes will not just be for power, but for the bright and guaranteed future of the new generation.

While campaigning as a candidate for the House of Representatives in Saptari District, Constituency No. 3, Chairman Yadav said that the future of the youth must be secured in the constitution by amending or rewriting it according to the needs of the country and its people.

Referring to his party's commitment paper, he mentioned that today's Nepal is stuck in an old constitutional structure that has provided neither stability nor justice.

He noted that the future of the young generation is uncertain due to political instability, weak federalism, and a lack of identity. He added that the country needs a solution by changing the form of government, the election system, and the judicial system through constitutional amendments or rewriting.

He also stated that JSP Nepal remains firm on implementing a structure of 11 provinces based on ethnic identity, following the 2011 report of the High-Level Commission on State Restructuring.

Stating that there will be no compromise against the demands for federalism and change for the new generation, Chairman Yadav said that his party is determined to make federalism a reality in practice rather than just on paper. He emphasized that this change is for a beautiful future for the youth, not for power.
