UML’s Pokhrel Calls Internal Party Competition ‘Natural Process’
Kathmandu. CPN-UML Senior Vice Chairman Ishwar Pokhrel has stated that internal competition within the party's organizational life should be taken as a natural process.
Speaking to media personnel at the General Convention venue on Monday, he explained that his candidacy is aimed at ensuring the party is run properly under collective leadership, rules, and procedures.
He said, "Internal competition is natural in the organizational life of our party. It might seem surprising to you, but it is natural. Why the candidacy, then? It is for the purpose of doing even better. My candidacy is with the objective of truly running the party properly under collective leadership, rules, and procedures."
Furthermore, he called upon the General Convention representatives who have arrived in Kathmandu to stand for the reorganization and restructuring of the party, and he expressed the view that the party requires collective leadership in the current situation.
