UML Submits Candidate Recommendations for Upcoming House of Representatives Election
Kathmandu – The central office of the Nepal Communist Party (UML) has received recommended names of prospective candidates from the lower levels for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
According to UML Secretary Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, the central office has received names sent by provincial committees through the districts. He stated that decisions regarding the candidates for the election will be finalized soon.
“All districts have submitted names of candidates for the upcoming election through their respective provincial committees,” he said. “Some constituencies have recommended a single candidate while others have forwarded multiple names. We will soon finalize the names of the candidates for each constituency.”
The UML had instructed that at least three names, including one woman, should be recommended. In some constituencies, district committees have submitted more than three names. The nomination process for the election is scheduled for Magh 6.
