UML Secretariat Meeting Decisions
Kathmandu. The secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) held on Tuesday has made several decisions.
The meeting has appointed coordinators for provinces and elections, and has also given Chairman KP Sharma Oli the responsibility regarding electoral alliances for the National Assembly elections.
According to UML Deputy General Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta, an election mobilization committee has been formed with Vice Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' appointed as the coordinator. The members include Bishnu Rimal, Chhabilal Bishwakarma, Rajan Bhattarai, Hikmat Karki, Ramesh Badal, and Bhishma Adhikari.
Similarly, Deputy General Secretary Bhatta informed that they will hold discussions between the Congress and the NCP and have requested seven seats, ensuring one for each province. He further shared that the meeting has entrusted the Chairman with the responsibility of discussing with the Congress and finalizing the candidates.
The meeting also formed a manifesto committee under the leadership of Chairman Oli himself. The committee members include Vice Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal', Bishnu Paudel, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, Central Committee member Pradeep Gyawali, and former Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal.
