Protests Continue Against the Arrest of KP Sharma Oli
Kathmandu. The protest against the arrest of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli continues today. On Sunday, UML leaders and activists gathered at Maitighar and are demonstrating against the government.
They organized the protest demanding the release of Chairman Oli. UML activists gathered at Maitighar stated that an impartial investigation should also be conducted into the newly elected Home Minister Sudan Gurung and the Prime Minister, alleging they incited Gen Z and destroyed government structures.
One activist at the demonstration said, "If this government continues in this manner, not only UML but also the Nepali Congress will participate in this movement. Those who incited the Gen Z movement and destroyed the state by burning government structures according to the Karki Commission report have become the Home Minister and Prime Minister. Our demand is that an impartial investigation must also be conducted into them."
Demanding the release of Oli, UML submitted memorandums to all 77 District Administration Offices today.
