UML Party Submits Proportional Representation List
The CPN (UML) submitted its list of proportional representation candidates to the Election Commission last night, and Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' is at the very top of that list. He is a leader close to KP Sharma Oli who joined the UML after leaving the Maoist party.
Oli has consistently kept him close as a trusted partner. The UML submitted a total of 110 candidates for the proportional seats, placing Vice-Chairman Badal as the first name under the indigenous nationality category.
Bhumika Limbu Subba is listed as the first female candidate in the proportional list.
Other names included in the list are Ganga Devi Shrestha, Anita Kandangwa, Ushakala Rai, Tara Devi Gurung, Lucky Sherpa, Mausam Rai, Nar Devi Pun, Bhakta Kumari Lama, Mima Baramu, Yamuna Ghale, Mankumari Titung, Kanta Rai, Sharmila Gurung, Sumitra Rajbanshi, Hirusara Rana, Kulbhakta Shakya, Buddhabhakta Chitrakar, Indrabahadur Tamang, and Sonam Chiring Lama.
