UML-CPN Protest and Memorandum Submission
Kathmandu: The Nepal Communist Party (UML) is submitting memorandums to all 77 District Administration Offices today demanding the release of Chairman KP Sharma Oli. Following the arrest of Chairman Oli from his residence yesterday by the police after the Gauri Bahadur Karki Commission allegedly found him guilty, the UML Secretariat meeting decided to protest and submit memorandums for his release.
According to Min Bahadur Shahi, coordinator of the UML Promotion and Publication Department, preparations are underway in Kathmandu to gather at Maitighar Mandala and march with slogans to the Administration Office to submit the memorandum. Yesterday, party-affiliated sister organizations held protest demonstrations from Maitighar to Baneshwor.
Regarding the arrest of Chairman Oli, an interaction with legal experts is scheduled for 10:30 AM. According to information provided by Chautari, the program is being organized at the organization's central office in Putalisadak.
