UML Begins Preparations for 11th National General Convention in Bhaktapur
Bhaktapur, 18 Mangsir: The Nepal Communist Party (UML) has started preparations for its 11th National General Convention, which begins on 27 Mangsir.
A team including UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali today inspected the General Convention's inauguration site, the 108 ropanis field of the Nepal Trust in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.
Deputy General Secretary Gyawali, UML Propaganda and Publication Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, and other leaders monitored the program venue.
Deputy General Secretary Gyawali stated that the inauguration venue has the capacity to hold approximately two lakh (200,000) people, and said that the said field will be packed. He informed that all preparations for the General Convention are moving ahead enthusiastically.
More than 2,500 representatives will participate in the General Convention. It is estimated that more than 150,000 cadres from all over the country will participate in the inauguration session.
Propaganda Department Chief Gautam stated that today’s inspection was in preparation for how to construct the stage and other structures. He indicated that approximately 600 volunteers in uniform will be deployed starting from the stage construction.
The party District Vice-Chairman Kiran Thapa informed that the preparation of the program venue started today with the use of a bulldozer.
