CPN (UML)'s 11th National General Convention: Closed Session Starts Today
The closed session of the CPN (UML)'s 11th National General Convention is set to begin today at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The closed session for selecting the new leadership will start today (Sunday) at 7:30 AM.
The party's new leadership for the next five years will be selected through this closed session. A total of 2,262 delegates, chosen from among approximately 650,000 party members nationwide, will elect a 251-member Central Committee, including one Chairman, one General Secretary, three Vice-Chairmen, three Deputy General Secretaries, and seven Secretaries.
The responsibility for the General Convention Proposal Drafting and Minute Writing Committee has been assigned to Deputy General Secretaries Pradeep Gyawali and Prithvi Subba Gurung.
