UML-CPN forms 501-member election mobilization committee in Bharatpur-2

BHARATPUR. A full meeting of the CPN-UML Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 2 Committee held this Tuesday has formed a 501-member Election Mobilization Committee-2082 for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

The meeting formed the committee under the coordination of Nawaraj Dhakal, a CPN-UML Chitwan district member and Ward No. 2 in-charge.

The committee includes members representing the UML district committee from Bharatpur-2, district advisors, party ward committee officials and members, elected ward representatives, and central, provincial, district, and municipal-level officials and members of various sister organizations.

Suraj Sapkota, the party's ward joint secretary, serves as the secretary of the election mobilization committee.

The meeting also formed an Election Mobilization Monitoring Committee under the coordination of Purna Bahadur Shrestha, a UML Bagmati Province advisor and former ward chairman of Bharatpur-2.

Furthermore, the meeting selected Keshav Thapa Niru as the coordinator for the election publicity committee, Shriram Pandey for financial management, Chitramaya Gurung for youth mobilization, Kalpana Sapkota for women mobilization, and Suraj Sapkota for election booth mobilization.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Belpatra Shrestha, chairperson of CPN-UML Bharatpur-2, with Purna Bahadur Shrestha, UML Bagmati Province advisor and former ward chairman of Bharatpur-2, as the chief guest.

CPN-UML has fielded Ashwin Ghimire as its candidate from Chitwan Electoral Constituency No. 2, which includes Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 2.

There are 8,657 voters in Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 2.
