Ujyaalo Nepal Party to Strengthen Campaign via 'Street Government'
Kathmandu: Kulman Ghising has announced that the Ujyaalo Nepal Party will now run the government from the streets, declaring a move to further strengthen their political campaign. During a Bagmati Province-level leadership gathering and training program organized by the Ujyaalo Nepal Party in Kathmandu on Wednesday, he stated that everyone must accept the mandate of the nearly two-thirds majority given by the people for the country's stability and prosperity.
He said, "Through the election, a nearly two-thirds majority was given to one party with an overwhelming vote. The mandate given to the Ujyaalo Nepal Party is to run the government by sitting in the streets. The Ujyaalo Nepal Party will be the government of the streets, and we will run the government effectively from the streets."
According to Ghising, the party was in a position where it had to participate in the elections within three months of its formation. He mentioned that although there was some confusion while reaching an agreement with another party during that process, they were successful in fielding candidates across the country. He claimed that despite losing the election, the Ujyaalo Party is the party that has won.
"A situation arose where we had to participate in the election within three months of forming the party. Even within that time, we were confused after making an agreement with another party in between. However, even in such a short time, we were successful in giving candidacies across the country. Even though we could not win, the Ujyaalo Party is the one that has won despite the loss. The country has also won. The Ujyaalo Party has also won," he said.
During the program, he also informed that after completing gatherings in all seven provinces, there are plans to expand the organization to the district, municipal, and ward levels.
