Major Merger Strengthens Madhesi Politics: Two Janta Samajwadi Factions Unite
Kathmandu – The Janta Samajwadi Party, Nepal and the Janta Samajwadi Party have officially merged in a formal ceremony.
The unification was led by Upendra Yadav, chairman of Janta Samajwadi Party, Nepal, and Renu Yadav, co-chairperson of Janta Samajwadi Party, along with a majority of their central committee members.
Following the merger, the party will continue under the name Janta Samajwadi Party, Nepal. Leaders expressed confidence that the unification will further strengthen Madhesi-centered politics in the country.
