Trump to Hold Separate Meetings with Zelenskyy and Netanyahu

U.S. President Donald Trump will hold separate high-level meetings on Tuesday at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to White House officials, these meetings will primarily focus on the ongoing wars in Ukraine and West Asia (the Middle East). The talks with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will center on rising tensions with Iran, progress in negotiations with Lebanon, and efforts to expand the Abraham Accords.

Before landing in Washington, Netanyahu stated that addressing threats from Iran is the primary goal of his visit. Trump noted that while he and Netanyahu have some minor disagreements regarding Iran, they are aligned on most issues. This marks the eighth meeting between the two leaders since Trump was elected for his second term, reflecting deep coordination between Washington and Jerusalem.

Similarly, the talks between President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy will discuss the peace process to end the Russia–Ukraine war. A White House official told CNN that the Trump administration has concluded it is now time to end the war.

During the meeting, discussions will also touch upon Zelenskyy's allegations that Russia provided Iran with intelligence on U.S. military bases. Trump stated he would question Russian President Vladimir Putin about this, though he added that he doubts Russia provided such information.

President Zelenskyy also recently revealed that Russia is strengthening its military force by bringing in 30,000 troops from North Korea. Meanwhile, Trump claimed that despite receiving help from Russia, Iran is growing weaker due to U.S. pressure.

Following these important White House meetings, both foreign leaders are scheduled to attend the funeral of the late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham in Washington. — ANI
