The Country Will Get a Political Solution Only After the Reinstatement of Parliament: Chairman Oli
Kathmandu,16 November: The Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has expressed the view that the dissolved House of Representatives should be reinstated to provide a political solution for the country.
Speaking during a discussion with a delegation of the Press Chautari Nepal at his residence in Gundus today, Chairman Oli reiterated his demand for the reinstatement of the Parliament, stating that it was dissolved unconstitutionally and illegally.
He expressed concern that such unconstitutional dissolution of the Parliament could set a wrong precedent in the country's political system.
He made it clear that his party is in favour of reinstatement, believing that the country will only get a political solution through the reinstatement of the Parliament. UML Chairman Oli, who is also a former Prime Minister, stressed that freedom in the field of journalism must be maintained.
During the discussion, Ganesh Pandey, the Chairman of Press Chautari Nepal, provided information about the current state of media, the increased security sensitivity towards journalists, and the activities of Press Chautari.
